We are a social group of people here at Social Media Tulsa. We like getting together and sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas. Our meetups and our annual conference are the primary ways that in-person sharing happens each year, and we look forward to it as much as you do.
However, right now, sharing in person could potentially endanger our SMTULSA community along with all of the other communities we’re all a part of as well. To reduce those risks, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the SMTULSA conference to later in the year. We hate waiting, but the safety of our volunteers, speakers, attendees, and support personnel is our priority.
We know you have questions. We have some of the answers now, and more information will be coming in the next few weeks.
- Registrations for the conference will be honored for the new dates — likely to be September 2020, pandemic permitting.
- We’re able to be flexible about the dates and logistics because our host hotel, the Holiday Inn City Center in Tulsa, has been fabulous to work with. We recommend them wholeheartedly for your next event or trip to Tulsa.
- If you have booked a room at the Holiday Inn City Center using our rate, you can cancel now without penalty. We’ll re-open reservations once the new dates are confirmed.
- If the new dates, once set, don’t work for you, we’ll work with you to find a virtual solution.
