Well, this email was supposed to be a big thank you to everyone who made our 10th-anniversary SMTULSA conference so fantastic, but instead, it’s an even bigger thank you to everyone for your support during this crazy, confusing time in our history known as the COVID-19 pandemic. As you know, SMTULSA has been postponed with the full support of the amazing staff at the Holiday Inn City Center in Downtown Tulsa. As of right now, we’re targeting late September for our rescheduled date, and we hope to have more details for you on that very soon. The Holiday Inn City Center will honor our group rate for the new dates, and we can’t thank them enough for their support!
In the meantime, we’ve found a way that we can use social media to help small businesses in the Tulsa area. As social media aficionados, we know that algorithms sometimes keep people from seeing your posts, even if they like or follow you. In order to help get the word out about local businesses that are still operating, we’ve put together a Google sheet featuring tons of different local restaurants, stores, arts and education opportunities, and rescheduled events that we’ve found on social media. We’d love your help in adding to it! We know many of you are looking for ways to support small businesses in our community during this time.
